Hello & welcome to SuthrnPrincess Tuts. I am so excited that you stopped in to see what I have made with the gorgeous tubes and fabby kits that are out there. You will find FTU & PTU kits as well as FTU & PTU Tubes are used in my tutorials. If you run into a problem on a tut please feel free to email me and I will help if I can. My use of a FTU tube does not give you permission to use it. I have obtained permission either from the artist themselves or through a group to use their artwork. You need to personally contact them to obtain permission before using.

postheadericon Valentine's Chocolate PTU

 
 
 
Supplies:
 
Tube of choice. I used Barbara Jensen available at Scraps & the City.
 
PTU Kit Valentine's Chocolates by Polka Dot Scraps available at Pimp My Tags With Scraps.
 
PlugIns: Xero- SoftMood & Porcelain.
 
Font of choice. I used Carlotta.
 
 
 
 
 
Let's Get Started:
 
Open a new 700 by 700 image.
 
Paste frame1. Image> Resize to 95%. Position towards the bottom.
 
Paste paper1. Image>Resize to 65%. Drag under the frame layer. Select the frame later. Click inside of the frame with the wand tool. Selections> Modify> Expand by 10. Selections> Invert. Select the paper layer and hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections> Select None.
 
Paste tube close-up. Position in the frame. Select the paper layer. Selections> Select All. Selections> Float. Selections> Defloat. Select the tube layer and hit the delete key on the keyboard.
 
Effects> PlugIns> Xero: SoftMood- Haziness 50, Glow Red 50, Lock sliders selected, Brightness 0, Contrast 0.
 
Duplicate.
 
Change the blend mode to Screen.
 
Merge down.
 
Effects> PlugIns> Xero: Porcelain- Softness 50, Strength 128, Brightness 125, Red 125, Green 0, Blue 0.
 
Duplicate.
 
Change the blend mode to Luminance (L).
 
Merge down.
 
Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow: vertical 2, horizontal 2, opacity 35, blur 5, color black.
 
Merge down.
 
Paste frame4. Drag to the bottom layer.
 
Paste tube. Position behind the frame towards the top.
 
Porcelain with the same settings.
 
Drop shadow changing the opacity to 25.
 
Duplicate. Drag above the frame layer. Erase the bottom part of her body, the part that is over the frame.
 
Paste element13. Drag to the top layer. Position at the bottom right.
 
Drop shadow changing the opacity to 30.
 
Pate element20. Drag behind the heart. Position at the bottom right.
 
Paste element25. Image>Resize to 50%. Drag behind the tag. Position to the left of the tag.
 
Drop shadow same settings.
 
Paste element27. Image>Free Rotate to the Left 90 degrees. Drag to the bottom layer.
 
Paste element38. Image>Resize to 90%. Image> Flip. Drag above the frame. Position at the bottom.
 
Drop shadow same settings.
 
Paste element43. Image>Resize to 65%. Drag behind the paper layer. Position to the left. Duplicate. Image> Mirror.
 
Paste element12. Image> Resize to 50%. Drag above the ribbon layer. Position over the left end of the ribbon.
 
Drop shadow same settings.
 
Merge visible.
 
Image> Canvas Size 695 width by 695 height.
 
Recenter with the pick tool.
 
Image>Resize to 650 width by 650 height.
 
Add copyright.
 
Add name with font of choice. I used Carlotta size 48 color black.
 
Drop shadow changing opacity to 50.
 
Merge visible.
 
Save as PNG.
