5 o'clock Somewhere PTU
Supplies:
Tube of choice. I used the gorgeous work of Zlata_M available at Scraps & the City.
PTU kit City Beach Bar by Inzpired Creationz available at Scraps & the City.
PlugIns: MuRa's Meister-Copies
Xero-Porcelain & Radiance
Richard Rosenman-Solid Borders
Eye Candy 5- Gradient Glow
Animation Shop 3
Font of choice. I used Yataghan.
Let's Get Started:
Open a new 700 width by 250 height image.
Paste Paper 5.
Paste Tube close up of choice. Position centered as desired. Duplicate and hide top tube layer.
Select the bottom tube layer.
Effects> PlugIns> MuRa's Meister: Copies-
Effects> Photo Effects> Black & White Film-
Effects> PlugIns> Xero: Porcelain-
Lower the layer opacity to 75%.
Unhide top tube.
Select the tube layer.
Effects> PlugIns> Xero: Radiance-
Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow:
Paste City Scene. Drag behind tube layer.
Paste Neon Sign 1. Image> Resize to 90%. Drag behind top tube layer and position to the right.
Hide the top tube layer.
Select the Selection Tool and draw an area around the word part of the neon sign. Selections> Promote Selections to layer. Select the original sign layer and hit the delete key on your keyboard.
Paste Moon1. Image> Resize to 50%. Position to the top left.
Drag behind the city scene layer.
Paste Cocktail 1. Image> Resize to 30%. Drag behind tube layer and position to the left.
Paste halftone. Drag above the paper layer. Stretch to fit the tag width wise using the Pick Tool. Lower the layers opacity to 20%.
Paste Flower 1. Image> Resize 40%. Drag behind the moon layer. Position in the bottom right corner. Duplicate. Image> Mirror.
Paste bubbles. Image> Resize to 50%. Drag below moon layer and position to the right of the tube. Duplicate. Image> Mirror.
Paste palm tree 2. Drag behind the bottom flower layer. Position to the left of the tag.
Paste sparkle 1. Drag to top and stretch to fit the tag width wise.
Select the Neon Sign words layer and drag above the tube layer.
Hide the Neon Sign words layer.
Drop shadow changing vertical and horizontal to 2 and lower opacity to 35%.
Shadow only the cocktail, neon sign, city, moon, both flowers, & palm tree.
Merge Visible.
Effects> PlugIns> Richard Rosenman: Solid Borders-
Using your select tool click the border. Selections> Promote Selections to Layer. Selections> Select None.
Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise:
Shadow same as before. Then shadow changing vertical and horizontal to -2.
Unhide Neon Sign wors. Drag under the border layer.
Image> Resize to 650x 232.
Add copyright.
Merge All Flatten.
Edit> Copy.
Paste in Animation shop.
Return to PSP. Undo the Merge All Flatten.
Select the Neon Sign words layer.
Adjust> Brightness & Contrast> Brightness/Contrast:
Merge All Flatten.
Edit> Copy.
Return to Animation Shop.
Edit> Paste> After Current Frame.
Return to PSP and repeat the steps for brightness 3 more times so that you have a total of 5 layers.
In animation shop:
Select only the first frame.
Animation> Frame Properties: 30.
Select frame 2. Press the shift key and hold while clicking on frame 5. This should highlight frame 2 through 5.
Animation> Frame Properties: 15.
View> Animation. Check to see that you like the speed that the sign blinks. If you do not then just go back into the frame properties and adjust the numbers until you do.
Return to PSP:
Undo last.
Find a font that you like. I used Yataghan size 48 bold color #9c06a0.
Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise: Gaussian 35 mono checked.
Effects> PlugIns> EyeCandy 5:Impact> Graident Glow:
Edit> Copy.
In Animation Shop:
Paste as a New Animation.
Select the symbol to duplicate.
Duplicate so that you have 5 name layers.
Edit> Select All.
Edit>Paste> Into Selected Frames.
Position as desired.
Save as Gif.
Avatar:
Open a new 150 width by 180 height.
Paste paper 5.
Paste close-up of tube. Position as desired.
Paste the City Scene. Image> Resize to 50%. Drag behind the tube layer. Position at the bottom but visible on the left of the tube.
Paste Flower 1. Image> Resize to 50%. Drag above the tube layer and position at the bottom right.
Drop shadow the city scene and the flower vertical -2, horizontal -2, opacity 50, blur 5, color black.
Merge Visible.
Effects> PlugIns> Richard Rosenman: Solid Borders-
Using your select tool click the border. Selections> Promote Selections to Layer. Selections> Select None.
Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise:
Shadow same as flower. Then shadow with vertical and horizontal set to 2.
Merge Visible.
Add copyright.
Use same font, color, noise, and shadow for the name as you did on the tag only change the size (from 72) to 65.
Merge Visible.
Save as PNG.
